Why I became a doctor?

Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. As a young, active child, I remember being fascinated by the innate ability of the body to heal itself from a scrape. This led me to major in Biology with a pre-medical emphasis.

As I was finishing college, a close friend’s medical experience led me to reevaluate medicine. After witnessing some of the struggles and shortcomings my friend experienced with conventional medicine, it led me to pause and reflect about the kind of doctor I wanted to be. I envisioned a health system that would allow me to take the time to genuinely understand and get to know my patients and their unique health challenges. I embarked on a quest to find a medical philosophy in alignment with mine and discovered naturopathic medicine.

As a naturopath I love building partnerships with my patients, creating a visit that is both empowering and educational so that you can achieve optimal wellness to live your best, vibrant life!
