A Tip for Raising Your Mood

I was recently inspired by a research article I read on how early-morning sun exposure can help elevate mood. I started recommending this practice to a wide range of patients that were concerned about some level of low mood. The results have been so compelling in my own practice, I wanted to inspire and motivate those of you out there who struggle with depression or any low mood issue to try this! You would want to spend at least 20-30 minutes in the sun before noon (so you don’t have to be a super “early bird” to try this). It has also been shown to support proper sleep patterns and even encourage weight loss.  Although it may not be a fix-all, it can certainly be a key part of a comprehensive plan.
